SOUTHCREST (CBS 8) - A high-speed police chase came to a dramatic end in Southcrest on Thursday night, leaving a trail of damaged parked cars about three blocks long.

Police say the suspect was speeding in a stolen car around 10:00p.m. near 39th Street and Newton Ave. Investigators say the driver hit several parked cars, criss-crossing the street "like a pinball."

The driver finally crashed and came to a stop. He was conscious, but transported to Mercy Hospital to be examined for injuries. He will then be taken into police custody.
