Dogs get in spirit at Halloween Canine Carnival in Ocean Beach

OCEAN BEACH (CBS 8) - Even though Halloween is still a day away, many spent the weekend celebrating with man's best friend.

The sixth annual Ocean Beach Canine Carnival packed in a number of tail wagging goblins at Dusty Rhodes Park Sunday.

Prizes were handed out to dogs and their owners in a variety of categories ranging from the scariest to the funniest.

"Last year, she was little red riding hood. This year, she's a cannibal," said one carnival go-er.

"Today, we are being Jessica Rabbit and Roger Rabbit," said another.

The Howl-O-Ween event is put on by the Kiwanis Club of Ocean Beach.
