LAKESIDE (CNS) - The California Highway Patrol Monday was investigating a fiery head-on collision in the Lakeside area that sent three people to the hospital.
The crash in the 11900 block of Highway 67 was reported shortly after 9:30 p.m. Sunday, said Lakeside fire Capt. Mark Grow. Two vehicles collided and one of them was engulfed in flames when emergency crews arrived, he said.
A critically injured person was found next to the burning vehicle and taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital, along with two others whose injuries were not immediately detailed, he said.
