SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Behind the barred windows, in the remnants of an old motel room, the soundtrack of your life has been preserved in The Vinyl Room.
"Everything you can imagine, from classical to hard core hip hop, rock, jazz, soul, religious music," Christy Westfall said.

"You can hear the highs and the lows and the richness. That's the first thing. It just sounds so much better. Second is you have something, you have something tangible," Christy said.
"It's exciting, the pictures, the words, the music, it's just fun," Christy said.
And what LP epitomizes the Thanksgiving feast quite like Arlo Guthrie's "Alice's Restaurant?"
"We have picture discs, we have imports," Christy said. "You can buy a record here for $1 and you can buy a record here for $125."
Longtime San Diegans will treasure a copy of a live recording from the old Mickey Finn's on University Avenue, where Fred Finn and family would lead the sing-a-long nightly. In her shop, Christy hears customers say it every day.
"'An, this is the first album I ever had,'" Christy said.
