SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A storm that flooded highways and neighborhoods in Los Angeles County Sunday is expected to make its way into San Diego Sunday night, according to the National Weather Service.

The storm was predicted to hit the county with wind gusts of 25 miles-per-hour in the coast and 40 miles-per-hour in the mountains and deserts about 5 p.m.

Forecasters expect the rain, about 3/4 inches the coastal areas and 1 1/2 inches in the mountains, to begin Sunday afternoon and continue into the night.

The wind and rain may cause unsafe driving conditions and motorists should drive with caution.
