EL CAJON (CNS) - Police detained a man after a 6-and-half-hour standoff in El Cajon Friday.
A woman called police about 10:30 p.m. Thursday, and said an unwelcome relative had come into the house and refused to leave, an El Cajon police dispatcher said.

Officers saw shattered glass in front of the house and believed the man could be injured. The unwelcome house guest refused to cooperate with police and the SWAT team was called about 3:10 a.m., the dispatcher said.
The SWAT team removed the man from the house about 5:10 a.m.
