ECO Ambassador winner announcement

News 8 is happy to announce the ECO Ambassadors winner Friday. Congratulations to the eight organizations that were selected as our 2011 ECO Ambassador finalists.

More than 43,000 votes were cast to select the ECO Ambassador winner, which is Project Wildlife!

The winning organization will receive a $25,000 grant from SDG&E.

News 8's Kimberly King files this video report with Rob Hutsel from The San Diego River Park Foundation, Pedro Villegas of SDG&E, and Lisa Culver, the executive director of Project Wildlife.
