SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Freezing temperatures were recorded in parts of San Diego County early Wednesday.

Temperatures fell into the upper 20s and low 30s this morning in wind sheltered areas, according to the National Weather Service. The agency issued a frost advisory for coastal and valley areas until 8 a.m.

"Sensitive outdoor plants should be covered or brought inside if possible," said a Weather Service advisory.

Highs Wednesday were expected to peak in the low to mid-60s in coastal and valley areas, 50s in the mountains, and mid- to high 60s in the deserts. Light winds were also in store, according to the Weather Service.
