Vintage Religion: Divine gift guidance

Posted: Updated:

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - There's always one person on everybody's shopping list who's impossible to buy for, someone who's done it all -- walked on water, parted the Red Sea, destroyed the 3-4 defense. But at Vintage Religion, you can find the perfect gift for Tim Tebow.

You can find divine inspiration in North Park, just off the corner of 32nd and University at Vintage Religion.

"Vintage Religion is a store inspired by different religions and cultures of the world," Phil Shirk said.

In this coexistent boutique, all deities are created equal.

"We have Christianity, Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist and the biggest category in the store is Dia de los Muertos," Phil said.

I think Tim Tebow is a bit more traditional than that.

"We have aprons with the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe," Phil said.

No, even more traditional than that.

"The perfect gift for Tim, 'Jesus is the reason for the season' Christmas ornament," Phil said.

Or, if he's looking to get to the Super Bowl, the Denver QB may want to light a candle.

"It's a Catholic saint, St. Expeditious, if you want rapid success, rapid wealth, rapid solutions to a problem," Phil explained.

Or, he can always just douse himself in their homebrewed holy water.

"We have holy water on tap here at Vintage Religion and we're fortunate to have a local priest by the name of Father Mike Mangolian that blesses the water for the store," Phil said.

In this shop where fashion, art and religion are co-mingled, or some might say co-mangled, they are already looking forward to the next holiday season.

"We might have Tebow candles by then. Who knows, he may become a saint," Phil said.

He's only two miracles away.
