A new daily non-stop flight between Lindbergh Field and the Mammoth Lakes ski area takes off Thursday.

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - The trip to Mammoth Mountain just got a lot faster and easier for people living in San Diego.

On United Airlines, you can ride the waves in San Diego in the morning, and still be on the slopes before noon, courtesy of a 1-hour, 20-minute direct flight.
