SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A man accused of firing into his neighbor's apartment, triggering a SWAT standoff in El Cajon has pleaded not guilty Friday.

On Thursday, Dennis Haggerty pleaded not guilty to assault with a deadly weapon and other charges.

He's accused of firing into a unit on Monday night at Key Largo apartments on North Mollison Avenue.

Police say the person inside fired a warning shot to scare Haggerty away and that Haggerty then barricaded himself inside his own apartment before surrendering.
