Rowan: On the mend and ready for new family

Posted: Updated:

Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier
Age: 6 months 1 week
Sex: Female
Colors: Red/White
Adoption Fee: $175
Identification Number: 88660

Rowan was brought to our North campus at the end of November, found abandoned in a canyon. She was seriously injured and emaciated, barely able to lift her head. She weighed less than half the amount she should for her age and suffered from deep scrapes on her front legs. She received immediate medical care, IV fluids, and lots of love and nurturing.

Rowan has grown healthier and stronger with each passing day. She has lots of fun-loving energy and charisma and big brown eyes that could melt any heart instantly! Rowan is simply lovable, and looking for a special home where she'll be a cherished member of the family. She is hoping for a new owner who will take their time with her, continuing the positive reinforcement training she has received while at the San Diego Humane Society.

Rowan's adoption fee is $175 and includes her neuter, current vaccinations, permanent microchip identification, a certificate for a free veterinary exam, and a license if residing in Oceanside or Vista! During the adoption the process a Humane Society Veterinarian will be present to explain her medical history, answer any questions, and share how to best care for her in the future.
