CHULA VISTA (CNS) - Chula Vista police searched Friday for a hit-and-run driver who struck and seriously injured a pedestrian.
Gloria Serrano was attempting to cross Otay Lakes Road at Elmhurt Street when she was hit by a northbound sedan about 5:40 p.m. Thursday, police said.
Paramedics took Serrano to an area hospital with a serious injury to her right arm, police said.
The driver of the sedan that struck Serrano fled the scene before police arrived.
Police described the sedan as a silver Hyundai or Kia with a broken right front headlight and a missing right side rear view mirror.
