SAN MARCOS (CNS) - A fire broke out in a San Marcos apartment complex, and one person was injured, the San Diego County Sheriff's Department announced Sunday.
The blaze began about 10:45 p.m. on Saturday at the apartment complex on Smilax Road near Mimosa Avenue, Sheriff's Sgt, E.J. Dayrit said.
A young resident sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital, he said.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
