SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Police officials hoping to nab the "Pigeon-toed Bandit" Tuesday released video footage of a recent pharmacy heist blamed on the serial robber.

The "Pigeon-toed Bandit" is responsible for at least five pharmacy robberies dating back to last July, according to San Diego police Lt. Andra Brown.

The most recent of the robberies occurred on the morning of Dec. 24 at Point Loma Cabrillo Drug at 955 Catalina Blvd. A man wearing a Santa hat handed a pharmacist a demand note for Oxycodone, Xanax and money, then fled on foot northbound after the employee complied, Brown said.

Similar robberies took place July 23 at the pharmacy inside a Ralph's on Sports Arena Boulevard; on Aug. 12 at the pharmacy inside a Von's on El Cajon

Boulevard; on Aug. 14 at the pharmacy inside a Ralph's on Mission Boulevard; and on Oct. 17 at the pharmacy inside a Von's on Truxton Road.

Police are looking for a white man in his 30s, 40s or 50s, between 5 feet 6 and 5 feet 10, with a medium build. He has worn latex gloves in two of the robberies and carried a black bag or backpack in most cases, Brown said. He has also worn a black baseball cap, fedora and Santa hat, she said.

Anyone with information about the robberies is urged to call San Diego police at (619) 531-2299.
