SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - There's a touching update to a story we first brought you in November.
Harley, the loveable Chihuahua mix with a heart defect, has found a forever home.
"We just looked at him a couple times, brought my dog over to meet him, and I think everything will be just wonderful when we get him home tonight," new owner Erin Beard said.
She says when they met Harley they didn't know about his condition and just fell in love.
Harley was brought to the Rancho Coastal Humane Society late last year. During a routine exam, veterinarians discovered a heart murmur. He underwent a successful surgery, and now he will get medicine twice a day, a sonogram once a year and love for the rest of his life.
