MIRAMAR (CNS) - A Marine whose body was found Thursday in La Jolla was publicly identified Saturday as Cpl. Cody B. Adler, 20, but the cause of his death remained under investigation, U.S. Marine Corps officials said.
Adler, of Los Angeles, was a small arms technician assigned to the Marine Wing Headquarters Squadron 3, Third Marine Aircraft Wing at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, according to Sgt. Sean McGinty.
He entered the Marines Nov. 19, 2009 and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, McGinty said.
