$10,000 reward offered in 2003 murder case

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A local family is teaming up with San Diego Crime Stoppers to solve a murder case from eight years ago.

A billboard is now up, on the 1700 block of Palm Avenue in the South Bay Offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the murder of Salvador Mercado.

The 25-year-old father was stabbed to death at a party on Harris Avenue, back on November 16th 2003.

"We don't know details, what happened, but we are hoping someone comes forward, and gives us a tip by calling Crime Stoppers," the victim's sister, Angelina Najera said.
