SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Here's a startling statistic: every 26 seconds, a student drops out of high school in this country.

In California, almost 200,000 youngsters dropped out of the class of 2010.

Now, some high-profile athletes are taking up the issue.

Aztec basketball star Tim Shelton and Tyree Dillingham from the After-School All-Stars Program joined the News 8 Morning Show and explained in this video report how, together, they're making a difference in the community.
