
SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A man was stabbed in his chest Sunday while fighting with another man near San Diego's historic Gaslamp Quarter, a police sergeant said.
The fight occurred about 2:15 a.m. in the 900 block of Fifth Avenue, near Broadway, said San Diego police Sgt. Todd Sluss.
Paramedics rushed the victim to area hospital, and said he is expected to survive.
The suspect was described as a black male in his late 30s with a ponytail. He was last seen wearing dark clothing, Sluss said.
