Huge pod of dolphins spotted off Point Loma

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - This time of year, most people are looking for whales off San Diego's coast, but what about a superpod of dolphins?

This amazing video was captured off of Point Loma late January and was submitted by News 8 viewer Erma Haines from Oceanside.

When there's a feeding frenzy like this one, dolphin pods can merge, forming a superpod.

Erma says her family was on a fishing trip when they happened to come across this spectacular sight.
