POWAY (CNS) - A man with a handgun robbed a bank in Poway Friday.
The suspect entered the Chase Bank branch at 12380 Poway Road around 5:54 p.m., slammed a semiautomatic pistol on the counter, pointed it at a teller and demanded that money be placed in the black laptop bag he was carrying, FBI Special Agent Darrell Foxworth said.
The teller complied and the robber exited the bank. He was last seen heading northbound through the bank parking lot, Foxworth said.
The suspect was described as in his late 20s or early 30s, 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 140 to 150 pounds. He had facial acne or razor bumps and was wearing a gray wig with loose curls, an orange baseball cap and dark jeans, according to Foxworth.
Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call the FBI's San Diego office at (858) 499-7810 or the office's 24-hour line at (858) 565-1255.
