Deaths of elderly couple investigated as possible murder-suicide

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) – News 8 has learned disturbing new details about the deaths of an elderly couple.

They were found inside a home in La Jolla in the 8700 block of Caminito Sueno around 12 p.m. Wednesday.

The medical examiner says the 77-year-old wife was found dead on the couch sitting next to her 81-year-old husband.

According to a public report, he had a plastic bag over his head, with a tube attached to a helium tank.

The death is being investigated as a possible murder-suicide.

Their names have not been released yet.
