OCEANSIDE (CNS) - The North County Transit District and the Oceanside Fire Department will conduct an emergency training drill Saturday at the Oceanside Transit Center, but Sprinter service will not be interrupted.
Two Sprinter cars will be used to practice two scenarios that will be staged opposite the track used for departures and arrivals. The drill will give fire personnel and NCTD staff hands-on experience in responding to an emergency involving the light rail system, according to NCTD.
Crews will practice with a rig for lifting a Sprinter car, among other things.
