SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A man who simulated having a gun robbed a San Ysidro sandwich shop of an undisclosed amount of money Saturday, according to San Diego police.

The alleged robber demanded cash from an employee at the Subway sandwich shop at 660 East San Ysidro Blvd. about 8:05 a.m., according to San Diego police. He simulated having a gun and was carrying a black bag, police said.

The employee handed over an undisclosed amount and the suspect walked away, headed south, police said. No one was injured.

The suspect was described as an about 20-year-old Hispanic or Middle Eastern man with a goatee. He was about 5 feet-6 inches tall with a thin build and was wearing a black jacket and jeans.

Police asked anyone with information to call the San Diego Police Department Robbery Unit at (619) 531-2299.
