EL CAJON (CNS) - A bearded man in a black leather jacket used a demand note to rob a U.S. Bank branch near the Westfield Parkway Shopping Center, police said Saturday.
The suspect approached a bank teller with the note about 2 p.m. Friday at the bank on Fletcher Parkway near Pioneer Way, according to El Cajon police Lt. J.D. Arvan.
The teller handed over an undisclosed amount and the suspect left the bank. He was last seen headed north on Pioneer Way from the bank's parking lot, Arvan said.
The suspect was described as a white man in his mid- to late 40s who was about 6 feet tall with a medium build. He had long, dark hair and a full beard and was wearing a blue bandana, sunglasses and a black leather jacket.
