SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Max is recovering from his surgery to repair his fractured leg. Veterinarians say Max may be able to go home Wednesday, if he's feeling better.
A seven-hole, bone plate was placed on Max's fractured leg – a repair that vets are very happy with.

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Talk about man's best friend. A rescued dog comes to the rescue of his owners during a home invasion.
While chasing the robbers away, Max was hit by a car and suffered a broken leg. Now, the family is asking for the public's help to cover Max's medical bills.
