SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Junior Seau is being remembered for the contributions he made on the field, but also off the field he made a big impact in the community.
Wednesday, the Seau Foundation released the following statement:
Junior Seau was a San Diego original. While he was most known as one of the best linebackers of all time, his passion on the football field was matched by his commitment to San Diego, and particularly its children. All of us at the Junior Seau Foundation are devastated by the loss of our founder, leader and friend.
The Seau Foundation celebrated its 20th anniversary with a golf tournament in March. Back then, friends and former teammates reflected on Seau's legacy. Watch this video report to hear the touching remarks.
