San Diego man fatally hit by car on 10 Fwy

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A 49-year-old San Diego man was fatally struck by a vehicle on a freeway median just east of downtown Los Angeles, California Highway Patrol said Saturday.

The CHP received a call a little after 8 p.m. Friday of a pedestrian in the center divider of the eastbound San Bernardino (10) Freeway at Soto Street, in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Boyle Heights, according to a department statement.

Although his name has yet to be released, the CHP reported that the 49-year-old man was a resident of San Diego.
