BOULEVARD (CNS) - A fire scorched a couple acres of brush Sunday off the side of Interstate 8 between Buckman Springs and Boulevard, according to Cal Fire and the California Highway Patrol.
A caller reported flames off the eastbound side of the freeway, east of Crestwood Road, about 12:45 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
One eastbound freeway lane was blocked, just east of Crestwood Road, the CHP reported on its website.
Cal Fire crews were on scene and CHP officials said it appeared they were getting the fire knocked down quickly.
