Gas prices continue decline

Posted: Updated:

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County fell Saturday for the 10th consecutive day, dropping 1.2 cents to $4.292, one day after decreasing 1.1 cents.

The average price has dropped 8 cents over the past 10 days and is 6.1 cents less than one week ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

However, thanks to the seven-day streak of increases totaling 15.7 cents that preceded the decreases, the average price is 9.5 cents more than one month ago and 24 cents higher than one year ago.

Analysts attribute the decreasing prices to increasing supplies.
