CAMP PENDLETON (CNS) - North County residents may see plumes of smoke rising in the direction of Camp Pendleton this weekend as military firefighters take part in a brush-clearing controlled burn on the base, the Marine Corps advised Friday.
The prescribed fire will take place Saturday and Sunday near the School of Infantry-West, in the northwestern reaches of the USMC installation, officials said.
