Some San Diegans cast their votes early

Posted: Updated:

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - San Diego County residents can vote Saturday at Registrar's office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ahead of Tuesday's primary election.

The office is at 5201 Ruffin Road, Suite I -- just off Clairemont Mesa Boulevard and west of Interstate 15.

"We offer Saturday hours because we know people are busy and voting on Election Day Tuesday may not be convenient," Registrar of Voters Deborah Seiler said. "In addition to providing mail ballots and staffing polling locations, we open the Saturday before the election to give voters another option to cast ballots or drop off their vote-by-mail ballots."

There may be a line.

On Tuesday, more than 1,400 polling places will be open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m., including the Registrar's office.
