Mobile home fire in Eucalyptus Hills

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - The sheriff department's bomb-arson unit is investigating what's being called a suspicious mobile home fire in Eucalyptus Hills.

It broke out just after 9 a.m. Saturday in the 11000 block of Oak Creek Drive.

Firefighters arrived on the scene and found the mobile home fully engulfed with the flames spreading to the nearby brush.

Meantime, a man claiming to be the mobile home's owner flagged down approaching firefighters and told them what happened.

"That victim at the time claimed that he was inside the structure when it was intentionally lit and therefore that initiated a response by the sheriff's department," Div. Chief Jim Kirkpatrick of the Lakeside Fire Protection District said.

The man was rushed to the UCSD Medical Center with burns to his body.
