SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Four vehicles crashed together and all four overturned in a crash that killed a 47-year-old woman and seriously injured two others Sunday on Interstate 805 just south of Imperial Avenue.

According to a California Highway Patrol collision report, the crash was reported at 2:27 a.m. and two people involved ran away from the scene.

A 2005 Toyota Matrix travelling at an undetermined speed crashed into a Honda that was stopped in an unknown lane of the road, causing the vehicles to overturn. A 1997 Toyota truck's driver was unable to avoid the crash and hit the Toyota Matrix, killing its female passenger, according to the collision report.

Additionally, the driver was transported to Scripps Mercy Hospital with major injuries. The 13-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries and was not transported to the hospital, the report said.

Both occupants of the 1997 Toyota truck were taken to UCSD Medical Center. The driver sustained moderate injuries and the passenger suffered major injuries, according to the report.

As the wreckage sat on the 805, a motorcycle plowed into it and overturned, the CHP said. The motorcyclists' medical condition was unknown.

The two people inside the Honda ran away from the scene. It was unknown exactly when they two fled the scene of the crash and no arrests had been made, a CHP dispatcher said.

Officers asked anyone with information to contact the CHP at (858) 637-3800.
