Stabbing in Vista leaves man hospitalized

VISTA (CNS) - A man was stabbed in the stomach and transported to the hospital in Vista, San Diego Sheriff's deputies said Sunday.

About 10:17 p.m. Saturday, deputies arrived at West Los Angeles Drive near Avenida de Benito Juarez and found an adult male suffering from a single stab wound to the stomach, Sheriff's Lt. Karen Stubkjaer said.

The victim, whose name was not disclosed, was transported to Palomar Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Stubkjaer said.

Deputies had not identified a suspect and were investigating the assault, she said.
