SAN MARCOS (CNS) - Authorities reached out to the public Wednesday for help in solving the 2010 stabbing death of a 17-year-old boy at a party in San Marcos, saying they've all exhausted leads in the case.
Eric Rios died in the driveway of a house in the 400 block of South Rancho Santa Fe Avenue shortly after 3 a.m. on March 27, 2010, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
Sheriff's homicide detectives estimated about 80 people were at the party where Rios was fatally stabbed.
Anyone who believes they may have new information in the case was asked to call sheriff's homicide detectives at (858) 974-2321. Tipsters also can call San Diego County Crime Stoppers' anonymous tip line at (888) 580-8477.
Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
