Research ship returns after 10 months at sea

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - The Scripps Institution of Oceanography research vessel returned to San Diego Thursday.

The Melville spent most of its 10-month expedition in the southern hemisphere.

In this Environmental Alert, Angelique Lizarde spoke with researchers and stuents returning from the whirlwind trip.
