SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A man with a rifle got into a La Jolla home and filled a trash bag with valuables while holding the gun on a housekeeper, police said Saturday.

The crime in the 7700 block of Starlight Drive was reported about 10:45 p.m. Friday, San Diego police Officer David Stafford said.

The gunman was in the house for about 30 minutes, Stafford said. He was described as a 30-something white man, about 5 feet 9 inches and 140 pounds, with blue eyes; he was wearing blue jeans, a striped shirt and dirty white shoes. He may have fled in an older model car with a loud muffler, Stafford said.

The housekeeper was threatened but uninjured, he said.
