Couple stabbed to death in South Bay ID'd

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Authorities released the names Wednesday of a couple fatally stabbed in their South Bay home by an unknown killer or killers.

Shortly after 8 p.m. Monday, 34-year-old Blanca Flores ran to a neighbor's home in the 2900 block of Alta Drive in Lincoln Acres, saying she and her husband had been stabbed, sheriff's homicide Lt. Larry Nesbit said.

Deputies arrived to find Flores unconscious and covered in blood on her porch, Nesbit said. Medics took her to Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego, where she was pronounced dead about three hours later.

Flores' 35-year-old husband, Johnny Greenoge, was found dead in the couple's home.

No suspects have been identified in the case, according to Nesbit.

The county Medical Examiner's Office has sealed the results of the victims' autopsies at the request of sheriff's officials.

"As this investigation is ongoing, no further information will be released at this time," the lieutenant said this afternoon.
