Posted: Updated:

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A man wearing a ski mask allegedly robbed a gas station in North Clairemont at gunpoint Saturday, San Diego police said.

The masked man entered the Thrifty gas station at 4202 Clairemont Mesa Boulevard about 5:40 a.m., showed a handgun and demanded cash from a clerk, according to San Diego police Officer Frank Cali.

The clerk handed over an undisclosed amount and the suspect left the store, headed east on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard, Cali said. No one was hurt, he said.

The suspect was described as a black man between 25 and 35 who was about 6-feet-2 and weighed about 200 pounds. He was wearing a ski mask, a blue hooded shirt, black jeans and light brown work boots.
