SPRING VALLEY (CNS) - Two people were arrested in connection with an underage drinking party in Spring Valley, sheriff's officials said.

Deputies were called out to the 10900 block of Singletree Lane, near Jamacha Boulevard, on a report of loud music and found about 15 people inside a house, according to sheriff's Sgt. Brian Nevins.

Three minors who admitted to drinking alcohol provided at the party were released to their parents, Nevins said. Hani Hindi Jr., 23, was arrested for allegedly violating the county social host ordinance and 18-year-old Taylor Vukotich was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana, Nevins said.

Social host violation can carry up to a $1,000 fine for a first offense and subsequent violations could be fined up to $2,000, up to 32 hours of community service or up to 6 month in jail. Violators could also be held liable for injuries resulting from a minor guest's negligence and for the cost of responding law enforcement services, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
