CHULA VISTA, Calif. (AP) - Authorities have recovered about $70,000 worth of rare coins and other items stolen in a San Diego County carjacking.
Police say a gunman stole a van from a Chula Vista driveway Sunday morning as the owner was loading it with coins and bills to sell at a swap meet.
The carjacker fled, followed by two accomplices in a second car.
Police say they saw three people in the van Sunday afternoon in nearby San Diego.
The suspected gunman and another person were arrested. The third suspect fled.
The coins were recovered.
