April, Sergio & Emily still waiting for a forever home

Posted: Updated:

It's been exactly a year since we profiled the three siblings you're about to meet, but sadly they're still waiting to find a forever family. Meet April, Sergio and Emily for the second time.

In the hope that someone who's watching will welcome them home, four-year-old Emily is the singer of the trio, with six-year-old brother Sergio playing the drums and eight-year-old sister April on guitar. Three siblings who truly know the meaning of harmony, taking turns is second nature.

And at one point, April immediately stepped down to let her brother give it a whirl. Teamwork, is the name of the game for these kids and when it comes to little sister Emily, April is extra careful.

When i asked why she was turning Emily so slowly, her answer melted my heart:

"Because I don't want my little sister to fall down because if she does, I get scared."

"April is the mother of all of them," said Protective Services Worker, Josie Cannon. "She just watches over them, watches over them like a mom."

And as sweet as that is, what April deserves is a mom of her own.

"She definitely wants a mommy because she just told me mommies take time with you and mommies spend a lot of time with you, so she's definitely looking for a mother figure," continued Cannon.

They need parents who can look out for all three of them.

"They tell me, a mom, a dad, a home with a pool, and a pet," Cannon noted.

The kids love the water and if you don't happen to have a pool – they say a membership to a pool or a drive to the beach would be great. They just like the water.

After spending about a year apart, the three siblings couldn't be happier to be living in the same foster home right now.

They play together well and are well-adjusted. And while Sergio is more serious than his sisters, his sisters bring out the fun in him.

"They touch his head and play with his ears, because he's the only boy, so they have a lot of fun with Sergio. He just takes it," Cannon added.
