Blackout lifted for Chargers-Packers pre-season game

Posted: Updated:

Enough tickets have been sold to lift the local television blackout for the Chargers' preseason matchup against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday, Aug. 9. The game will be televised live nationally on ESPN and locally in San Diego on KFMB-TV, Ch. 8.  Kickoff is 5:00 pm PT. Mike Tirico and Jon Gruden will call the game from the booth and Lisa Salters will report from the field.

Several hundred Club seats – some of the best locations in the stadium – and general tickets returned by the visiting team are still available. The Chargers' ticket office at Gate C at Qualcomm Stadium is open Friday from 8-5 pm and Saturday from 10-4 pm. Tickets also can be purchased online at www.Chargers.com or by calling 800-745-3000.

The national telecast will also feature the Chargers' annual Salute to the Military.

The game will also be broadcast on Rock 105.3 FM and XTRA Sports 1360 AM in San Diego and KLAC 570 AM throughout Southern California. Josh Lewin and Hank Bauer will call the game from the booth and Mike Costa will report from the sideline.
