28th Annual Philippine Cultural Arts Festival

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - There was a huge celebration of Filipino culture at Balboa Park Sunday.

Hundreds of people enjoyed the food, dance, music, and arts of the Philippines.

Organizers say the festival is important to help keep the traditions alive for future generations.

"Some of those students are born here in this country and sometimes they forget about the Filipino traditions, and we want them to continue on from generations," said spokesperson Carmen Galang.

This is the 28th year of the free festival.
