LA JOLLA (CNS) - A robber slipped a demand note to a teller at a bank branch inside a La Jolla supermarket Friday and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash, San Diego police reported.

The suspect walked up to the Wells Fargo counter at the Ralphs store at 8667 Villa La Jolla Drive about 10:25 a.m., according to San Diego police Officer Frank Cali.

He passed the teller a demand note, but did not show a weapon, Cali said. No one was injured.

The suspect left through the doors on the west side of the building.

He was described as a black man in his early 40s, about 5 feet 6 inches tall, with a heavy build. He was wearing a tan hat and a tan jacket.
