SAN YSIDRO (CNS) - A small brush fire broke out behind San Ysidro High School and burned for about an hour, fire dispatchers said.

"The fire involved two acres of small brush and a pile of rubbish," said a San Diego Fire-Rescue dispatcher. The fire started near the school, 5353 Airway Rd., and burned east, towards a canyon.

About 45 firefighters and 15 units responded to the blaze, the dispatcher said.

"Firefighters are going to be there for the next 30 to 45 minutes mopping up," said the dispatcher about 3:10 p.m.

No structures were threatened and there were no injuries reported.
