Birding in the Lagoon

The San Elijo Lagoon Ecological Reserve in Cardiff-by-the Sea is one of Southern California's largest coastal wetlands. Over 900 acres of protected habitat is home to more than 700 species of birds, fish, reptiles, amphibians, mammals and plants. ECO explorers or all ages can enjoy birding, hiking and nature exploration. Trails are open from dawn until dusk.
