OCEANSIDE (CBS 8) - A brush fire that started in Camp Pendleton spread to Oceanside Monday afternoon, according to fire authorities.
The fire was first reported shortly before 4 p.m. at Camp Pendleton just north of Douglass Drive near Via Cibola, according to emergency radio traffic.
Firefighters were on the scene of the fire estimated to be about a half of an acre about 4:15 p.m.
The fire seems to be moving northward along a wooded creek bed. Firefighters are calling for extra strike groups due to the growing threat to structures.
No other information was immediately available.
